Under UDAAN Scheme, Govt Polytechnic College Kathua in association with Department of Chemicals and Petro Chemicals under Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India and Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Amritsar organized the 1st placement drive for the 1st Batch of pass-out students in the college campus. In the placement drive, Thirty candidates of 1st batch of Mechanical Engg Department of the college participated. Twelve candidates were selected for six month training on CNC Milling Programming Techniques and Machining Operations at Amritsar. They will be paid the stipend during the training as per the NSDC norms of Govt of India and after successful training the students will be placed in corporate with salary of Rs 1.5 lacs per annum. Er Shashank Srivastava, Placement Officer of CIPET and Sh. Sandeep Madan were the resource persons from CIPET who conducted the drive.

Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college presented the welcome address and impress upon the students to participate in the placement drives with full enthusiasm and make full use of their professional & technical skills for employability to various organizations. Er. Ajay thapa, Training and Placement Officer of the college thanked the corporate for providing an opportunity to the students to work in their organization. Er Sanam Gupta, Er Jasdeep Kour and Sh Rajesh Khajuria, Lecturers of the college were also present in the drive.
