A one Day workshop was held at Government Polytechnic College Kathua by Profic Systems and Technologies Pvt Ltd, Mumbai for final semester students. The resourse persons from the company were Mr. Sikander Nazeeb Gulzar, Regional Circle Head and Mr Ankit Sharma, Co-ordinator. During the workshop the students were apprised about the various job prospective after doing the 3 –year diploma in Engineering. The workshop was attended by students of Mechanical Engg Department and Instrumentation & Control Engg. After the workshop 26 students were shortlisted for six month training on Higher End Industrial Automation, Electrical and Mechanical System (PLC, SCADA, DCS, Embedded, Pnematic and Hydraulic systems).

The students will be paid the stipend during the training as per the NSDC norms of Govt of India and after successful training the students will be placed in corporate with salary of Rs 1.5 lacs per annum. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college presented the welcome address and thanked the corporate for providing an opportunity to the students to work in their organization and impress upon the students to make full use of their professional & technical skills for employability to various organizations under the UDAAN scheme. Others who were present were Er Ajay thapa, Training and Placement Officer of the college, Er Sanam Gupta, Er Jasdeep Kour.
