Government Polytechnic College Kathua organised Online Poster Making Competition and participated in Webinar on World No Tabacco Day

*Government Polytechnic College Kathua* today organised *Online Poster Making Competition* on the occasion of *World No Tobacco Day* to create awareness among masses about ill effect of Tabacco. The staff and students also participated in Webinar on theme *_Commit to Quit_* organised by The Institution of Engineers (India) in collaboration with Department of Food & Drug Administration, J&K State Emergency Operation Centre and J&K Voluntary Health Association. The Various speakers highlighted the Health benefits of quitting smoking, and tips to effectively kick the habit. Er Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Kathua drew the attention of students towards ill effects of tobacco use, health related risks, effects of passive smoking, better ways to quit smoking and to adopt healthy life style. First prize in Poster competitionon was shared by Gulshan Kumar and Sohit Kumar of 2nd semester, Gagan Gupta of 2nd semester stood second while third prize was shared by Sourav Sharma, 6th semester and Ajay kumar 4th semester. The judges for the competition were Mr Ravi Kumar, Ms Neeru Devi and Ms Saroj Bala, faculty of college.
